Menopause Health and Wellness Evening

Thank you so much to those who supported our successful Purple Horizons’ Menopause Health and Wellness evening on May 2nd which raised over £1,000 for the Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital As promised please click here to view the presentations from our seven speakers.

We were very kindly hosted by the elegant Gonville Hotel, one of the most prestigious hotels in Cambridgeshire.

As well as Dr Imogen Shaw, we were joined once again by a number of panel guests who talked about other ways of managing peri-menopause/menopause symptoms. Each panellist had a different area of expertise from nutrition to hair loss, breast health, yoga and exercise, counselling and wellbeing; collectively, with Dr Shaw, our panel guests provided a unique opportunity to make informed choices about menopause health by looking at HRT and other ways of treating symptoms.

All moneys raised from our talk will benefit Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust specifically for the new Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital which aims to change the story of cancer. It will bring together clinical and research expertise in a new, world-class hospital, detecting cancer earlier, treating it more precisely and saving more lives.  For the first time, Nobel Prize winning science from the University of Cambridge will come together with the UK’s largest cancer research community within the walls of a new NHS hospital.

We are so grateful that Purple Horizons are supporting the new Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital with their Menopause Health and Wellness evening event. Menopause symptoms affect so many women in different ways, and by holding this event, not only will Purple Horizons be supporting women going through this stage of life, but the proceeds from the evening will help support people going through their cancer journeys.
